| No Lifeguard March 2012, Oil, 36 x 36
Walking on the beach in Clearwater Beach, Florida, I saw the
shuttered lifeguard stations lit up by the setting sun. I knew there was
a painting in there somewhere. |
 |
| Red Shack February 2012, Oil, 30 x 24
A nursery nearby shut down recently. I rode my bike by. All the
plants are gone. Some buildings are still there. This may have been a
tool shed or equipment garage when the nursery was operating. Now it's
just a Red Shack. |

| Top of the World December 2011, Oil, 30 x 24
Chelsea took a photograph when driving the hills outside San
Francisco. I stole the motif and made this painting. |
 |
| Onions August 2011, Oil on board, 20 x 16
Onion shoots in our kitchen inspired this painting. |
 |
| Red Maple February 2011, Oil, 48 x 36
While blog surfing one day, I came across a nature site at
http://joansnaturejournal.blogspot.com and was intrigued by a
photograph of falling leaves. That inspired Red Maple. This is a large
painting, four feet wide by three feet tall. This is now gracing the
prime spot in our living room over the fireplace. |
 |
| Esperando a Papa December 2010, Oil, 36 x 36
Trisha's sister Naomi, who lives in Mexico on the Yucatan, took a
photograph out of her living room window. It was the inspiration for
this painting. |
 |
| Licorice December 2010, Oil, 24 x 18
Very difficult. This took me all year to do, and I finally finished
it. |
